Semantic product data

Semantic product data describes products in terms of meaning rather than keywords: fit, silhouette, material behavior, occasion, styling intent, and the relationships between them. It's what lets an AI system understand that a "relaxed linen blazer" suits a summer office and a beach wedding alike.

In context

Keyword data answers “does this text match?”; semantic data answers “is this the right product for this person and situation?” The difference decides who gets recommended when a shopper asks an answer engine a real question — because real questions are about situations (“rehearsal dinner in October, not too formal”) and bodies (“petite, long torso”), not product names.

Semantic product data is produced by feed enrichment and delivered to machines as structured data and enriched feeds. For jewelry, where shoppers search by feeling and symbolism, semantic context is the whole game — see how jewelry brands win semantic search.
